| **Fireworks** Day of Games is back again!!! **Fireworks** This time we are doing a salute to movies. Hello there Stars and Starlets, you have a V.I.P. invite to the premiere of Day of Games (Movie Edition), which means time for all of the Stars of Amtgard to come have fun!!! Events will include Horror survival game!, the Braveheart Rock Throw, Gauntlet, Lord of the Rings battle game, Movie themed A&S, Patriot Tomahawk Throw, Blood of Heroes (Jugging), Clash of the Titans(Polaris vs Rivermoor) and this is end reign for PoP so it is going to be a royal court no one would want to miss!. Cost is a mere $10, which includes site and meals. Just like the previous D.o.G. this will be a team event, with teams of five and any alternates(up to 8 total on the team) . As the day goes on your Entourage(team) will earn points in games (not the LotR or CotT battle games tho are there just for fun and epic-ness! ). At the end of the day the top Entourage will be presented great swag and bragging rights of being the best team in the lands! The current champions of D.o.G. is the team of Einherjar lead by Kite, who will be tough enough to take their spot of top Dog?! ~Friday: 4:00 P.M. Show up, Set up camp, Ditch Horror survival game! Dinner( Provided by Einherjar) ~Saturday: 9:00 A.M. Breakfast( Provided by Brotherhood of Dark Tower) Braveheart Rock Throw Gauntlet Lord of the Rings battle game A&S competition (Movie themed) About noon. Lunch Patriot Tomahawk Throw Blood of Heroes (Jugging) Clash of the Titans (Polaris vs Rivermoor) Court/Feast Bondfires/Bardics ~Sunday: Clean up and leave. ------Games/events details!------- ~Braveheart Rock Throw: Each entourage will have five throws of a Rock (a shot put) at English solders(wooden targets) worth certain points. Top three scoring entourages get points. "Call it a test of soldiery. The English won't let us train with weapons, so we train with stones." ~Gauntlet: A team based game, with teams of four. Each team member will play one of the four classes, Archer, Warrior, Valkyrie & Wizard. Each with their own strengths and weaknesses. This will be a tournament format, depending on the number of teams it will be ether double elimination or single elimination. Top three crews get points. ~Lord of the Rings battle game: The forces of man vs the evil forces of Mordor will clash on the battle field in this militia game. Players will be divided in to two teams, the forces lead by Sir Micheal and the forces of Mordor lead by Sir Raphael. The special thing different from a normal militia game is that the leader of each side will pick 5 lieutenants. The lieutenants and the generals will have a few special ability's. ~A&S, Movie themed: Standard A&S competition, but it has to be movie themed in the categories of horror, fantasy, adventure. Best in show wins. You can enter any number of items. Tops items in each category gets points for their entourage. Do 'The Pagemaster' proud and bring your best! A tip from Horror, "We are lusty, adventurous men." lol, what a silly book he is! :P ~Patriot Tomahawk Throw: Each entourage will have five throws of a Tomahawk at English redcoats cut outs worth certain points. Top three scoring entourages get points. A tip from the "Ghost", "Aim small, miss small." ~Blood of Heroes (Jugging): Jugging is a sport best described as "medieval-style football" played using the rules of Amtgard safety. Two teams of five persons each (with one alternate allowed, for a total of six players if your crew has six.) line up on opposite ends of the playing field, and attempt to place a ball, called the "dog skull," in their respective goals by out maneuvering and/or killing the other team. This will be a tournament format, depending on the number of teams it will be ether double elimination or single elimination. Top three entourages gets points. Tip from Sallow, "Play hard, you'll forget the fear." ~Clash of the Titans! (Polaris vs Rivermoor): On the word of our Prince Raphael, War is called! Its a full class smash battle between the two titans(principalities) of the Midwest. Who will take the field of honor on this day, who will be standing?! Only the gods know!
