Vetra Skald is focused on 9 equally essential elements: 1. Personal Development - setting goals, etc 2. Self Expression 3. Experience - gaining new experience and knowledge 4. Respect 5. Norse Culture - study the culture of the Norse people, their writings, etc 6. Patience 7. Amtgard Persona - develop a Norse amtgard persona, Norse garb, etc 8. Family 9. Attainment - the attainment or completion of goals There really is no 'household' type for Vetra Skald, but more "guidelines" as to how a person should act and carry themselves. What a person should look forward to, or to push themselves to accomplish (such as making garb, or learning culture, showing respect, etc.) these are things that all people should strive for but this is a household or "brotherhood" of others with the same thought to help all to "Attain" the heights listed. Our service is to each other in helping whenever needed. We forge our lives in the fire of our will.
History: Hús Vetra Skald was created in 2005 by Sir Grendel, Sir Dan The Man, and Squire Cruz. The three founding members created and ran a goblin game for the then Imperial Regent of the Iron Mountains, Sir Moss. They have assisted with running a few other games, and were responsible for the court feast at Glitter Beards 2005 along with Harpy no Wakagashira (a Vetra Skald pledge). They received the order of the flame from the Northern Holdfast for their service during 2005.
