RULES FOR CULTURAL OLYMPIAD: In order to qualify as Cultural Champion, you must have placed in the top 3 in a minimum of 5 MAIN categories with a max cap of 2 items per subcategory. 3 points are added for first place, 2 points added for second place, 1 point for third place 1. All written entries must be handed in TWO WEEKS before the beginning of the event to Dame Siobhan ([email protected]) – maximum 5 pages. Entrant to bring six copies to event. 2. Cooking and brewing entries MUST have a list of ALL ingredients for food allergy concerns 3. All entries must have a write-up indicating category, and what portion of the piece, if any, was not created by the entrant. i.e., a photograph is entered, and the frame is purchased; Garb is entered, and the pattern created by the entrant. 4. ANY copyright issues must be indicated in write-up, i.e., a piece of fan-fiction based on the Firefly universe. Failure to do this will result in the item being given a zero score. 5. Fighting garb, monster garb, armor, shields and weapons, and anything that is meant to be used on the field unless otherwise indicated on the write-up, are subject to testing for legality. If they are deemed to be illegal as per our rules of play, they will be given a zero score. 6. Categories are (letters are main categories, numbers are subcategories): a. Garb i. Monster ii.
