| Crown Qualification Tourney!!!! When: Sunday May 19th, 2013 - 10am-completion Where: Barony of Granite Spyre, Ray Miller Park, Houston, Texas Sign in starts at 10am. Sign in closes at 12pm. Warskill: Seeded bracket, best 2 out of 3, double elimination. Single Short Sword Florentine Short Swords Short Sword and Medium Shield Great Weapon Warskill Tournament Requirements: Monarch: Must enter and compete in at least 3 fighting events. Regent: Must enter and compete in at least 1 fighting event. Champion: Must enter and compete in all fighting events. Cultural Tournament Requirements: Monarch: Minimum 4 entries in 3 categories. 3 Entries must obtain a min score of 3.0 Regent: Minimum 5 entries in 4 categories. 4 Entries must obtain a min score of 3.5 Champion: 2 legal weapons of different types, entered in Owl, min score of 2.5. Statecraft Tournament Requirements: Monarch and Regent Candiates only: Written - Candidates submit an essay or other written work on the topic: "How I represent the Kingdom of the Wetlands". This entry is due by 5/5/2013 and will be presented on the Wetlands Facebook page for the Kingdom to read. Platform Speaking - Candidates present their goals for the reign and answer questions from the judges and populace. Debate - Candidates must present an impromptu argument on a given Amtgard related topic. Conflict Resolution - Candidates role-play the position they are seeking in an intense problem-solving scenario. Judged on decisiveness, efficiency and creativity. Test Requirements - Passing score 70% on all tests: Monarch, Regent, Champion Reeves Test on Rules of Play 7.7: open book, closed mouth, 20 questions, timed: 25 mins. Corpora Test, on Corpora dated 11/13/2013: open book, closed mouth, 20 questions, timed: 25 mins. Monarch and Regent Only Award Test, on Rules Standardization RoP 7.7: closed book, 10 questions, timed: 15 mins. All Candidates must be Contributing Members of the Kingdom of the Wetlands by May 5th, 2013. |
